It's that time again. The stores are bringing out their
Christmas displays (and it's not even Thanksgiving yet!),
signaling the start of another holiday season. It's the
time of year when we count our blessings and think about
the simple but gratifying act of giving to others. By
supporting fair trade, you can extend the gift's benefits
far beyond our borders. Fairly traded products are grown
or produced in developing countries by disadvantaged
producers. Whether you are giving coffee or other
products, please consider a conscious decision to give
fair trade — the gift that gives twice.
In
this month's Fair Grounds, we're introducing our new
website and offering suggestions for some great coffee
gifts for friends and family. And we introduce two new
single origin coffees from Ethiopia and East Timor - both
available at 20% off when you use the link in the
newsletter. All this plus Dr. Coffee and a yummy new
recipe, so read on!

Now when you log onto www.cafecampesino.com,
you'll find a brand new site. Our talented web team,
including Lynn Nichols and Don Kruger of Starstruck
Design, graphic design intern Jason Cadogan and David
Moore, a freelancer who works full time on Habitat for
Humanity's graphic design team, has developed a site that
we hope you'll find as intriguing graphically as it is
functional. While we've got a lot of good information on
the site right now, we'll be adding new content in the
next few weeks — so keep checking back. And let us know
what you think!

What could be better for a coffee lover than to open a box
containing a wonderful selection of Café Campesino
coffees? (Don't answer that, it was a rhetorical
question!). With the holiday season nearly upon us, it's a
great time to think about how to make your friends' and
family member's java dreams come true – the organic,
fair trade way, of course. And we've got some ideas to
make this year's gift giving uncomplicated and enjoyable.
Want
to give a coffee gift but aren't sure what the gift
recipient would like? Try one of Café Campesino's gift
boxes. The Americas Tour Box lets your friend or
family member travel through the Mexican tropics, climb
the Guatemala mountains and rest on the fertile soils of
Nicaragua — metaphorically, that is — as they savor
our Mexican Chiapas Full City roast, Guatemala Highlands
Full City roast and Nicaragua Medium roast. A 16-ounce bag
of each single origin, along with a personalized gift
card, is included. If your gift recipient has never
experienced the taste of fair trade, the Sampler Box
is a terrific introduction to each of our roast styles,
with one 16-ounce bag each of Nicaragua Medium roast,
Guatemala Highlands Full City roast and Decaf Dark
roast. Your personalized gift card completes the present.
The world travelers on your gift list will appreciate the
World Tour Box, a world-class trio that caravans the
recipient through pristine coffee lands. It includes one
16-ounce bag each of our Ethiopia Limu Full City roast,
Sumatra Gayo Full City roast and Guatemala Highlands Full
City roast, along with your personalized gift card.

order again. The order came quickly, had everything in it
I asked for, and the coffee is soooo delicious!!!!!!! I am
trying to get friends and family to order as well."
— Jen
"Your
timing was excellent…we were totally out of coffee when
the parcel from Cafe Campesino arrived…thanks so much!
The flavor is delicious…all the more so because of the

Our ever-evolving line of 100% fair trade, organic coffees
just expanded again. This month — "E" stands
for Ethiopia... or East Timor. If you care to be daring,
try a cup of Ethiopia Yirgacheffe with your morning bagel.
This medium roasted coffee has delightful, distinct citrus
tones that get stronger and stronger as the coffee cools.
Tea drinkers will find this coffee very interesting. Grown
by the farmers of the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative
Union in the lush Ethiopian Highlands — who also bring
you our popular full-city Ethiopia Limu.
We've
also added another Asian coffee. Welcome our latest dark
roasted coffee that is grown in the world community's
newest country — East Timor. Exported by the
farmer-owned Co-operativa Cafe Timor, this organic coffee
represents the hard work and dedication of the thousands
of growers associated with this democratically managed
project.
Both
of these coffees are available until December 15th at a
20% discount if you purchase through the coupon below.

We're
giving away coffee!
Think
you know a lot about coffee? Then enter our Fair
Grounds Trivia Contest. Click
here for our question of the month. Entering is easy
and it's FUN!
We
thought our last question was too tough, but we didn't
realize how good the Internet search engines have become.
So, we did a search on our own little search engine for
"coffee trivia winner" and low and behold the
name, John Hice, came up in the first position.
Congratulations, John!
